Posting Guidelines

Participation in these forums is open to anyone who wishes to contribute. A few basic rules:

* Content should be relevant to the subject of the forum. Off-topic posts may be deleted.
* Defamatory remarks about other people are not allowed. Heated discussion is encouraged, but personal attacks on others are unacceptable as part of making an argument.
* Advertisements and spam are not allowed in forum posts.
* Discussions or endorsements of political candidates or issues that may jeopardize ALA's nonprofit, tax-exempt status are not allowed.
* Do not use this space to organize boycotts.
* Posts that do not adhere to these guidelines may be deleted without prior warning, and repeat offenders may have their accounts removed from the system.
* Neither American Libraries nor the American Library Association is responsible for the accuracy or content of messages posted in these forums.

That still leaves a lot of space for active sharing, so please jump in and participate. We welcome your thoughts and opinions. If you have further questions about these rules, please feel free to post them in a reply to this topic.
